Sending SMS with excel file

Excel is a spreadsheet software. From the columns, you can convert the excel format to other format. ISMS is capable helping you send SMS to your recipients. There are two ways for you to send SMS with excel file.

1. Import the excel file to address book
2. Send directly with excel file.

Before you do both operations, you need to convert Excel file into “CSV” format. CSV is abbreviation for comma separated value, it means each word is separated with comma.

Steps to convert excel to csv

1. Organize excel file according to csv sample, do not include any labels.
2. Save the file as CSV with excel “file->save as” then select file type, CSV.
3. You have a CSV file now.

Import the excel file to address book

1. Login to your member account at isms.com.my.
2. Select from menu “address book → import contacts”.
3. Select the CSV file you saved earlier, then upload.
4. Now you have all contacts inside address book, you can select the contacts and send SMS from compose SMS function.
   

Send directly with excel file

1. Select compose SMS with upload CSV file.
2. Write your message and select the CSV file.
3. Send the message, iSMS server will send each contact inside the CSV file with the appropriate message.
